The Zoological Park in Thiruvananthapuram is one of the oldest zoos in India. Located in Thiruvananthapuram, Trivandrum Zoo is spread across a vast area and houses a diverse collection of animals, birds, and reptiles. Thiruvananthapuram Zoo is home to 82 species of mammals from around the world. The zoo also includes a snake farm called 'The Reptile House', which exhibits both poisonous and non-poisonous snakes. It also houses 7 Anacondas too. The zoo is known for its conservation efforts and educational programs. The Zoological park is open daily from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm. It is closed on Mondays.

Thrissur Zoo - Thrissur State Museum & Zoo in Kerala

Thrissur Zoo (Thrissur)

Situated in the heart of Thrissur city, the Thrissur Zoo is a popular attraction in Kerala. Also known as Thrissur State Museum & Zoo, it features a variety of animals, including lions, tigers, elephants, and various bird species. The zoo includes a Zoological Garden, Botanical Garden, Art Museum, and Natural History Museum in its compound. The zoo also has a snake park that showcases different species of snakes found in Kerala. The Thrissur Zoo is just 2 km from the Thrissur City center and is open from 10:00 AM till 5:15 PM, except on Mondays.

The main aim of these two zoos in Kerala is the conservation of animals and has taken measures for breeding of animals.
